“Was flicking through my new favorite site, NearMaps the other day and saw this. It’s a whole lot of students sitting around on Melbourne Uni’s South Lawn, presumably getting some sun and skipping lectures. I think it’s interesting through looking at how they’ve all arranged themselves, as if there’s an unwritten rule of personal space and ‘group space’ which seems to be a set distance for everyone. Which in turn reminds me of The Social Atom by Mark Buchenan who also runs a blog by the same name.
Anyone who doesn’t know about NearMaps, go check it out - it’s a lot clearer than Google Maps and gets updated ever month or so (plus you can scroll back through past photo’s, which makes checking out construction sites pretty interesting)” - chazhuttonsfsm
